Brand Spotlight: Lansinoh

Walk into any baby group and ask what's in everyone's hospital bag. Lansinoh will come up. It always does.
The brand has been making products for breastfeeding and postpartum recovery since the 1980s. It started with a single nipple cream and built outward from there, slowly, without much fanfare. That's still how it operates. No bold rebrands, no trend-chasing. Just products that keep getting recommended because they keep working.
The nipple cream everyone mentions
The HPA Lanolin Nipple Cream is ultra-purified lanolin, which means it's safe to leave on during feeds. You don't need to wipe it off before your baby latches. A small amount goes a long way, helping soothe sore, cracked nipples while creating a protective barrier between feeds.
It's the product that built Lansinoh's reputation, and it still earns it.
Pumping without the faff
The Wearable Pump sits inside your bra and runs quietly. No tubes trailing across the sofa, no being stuck next to a plug socket. The double version lets you express both sides at once.
What you do with the milk once you have it is a separate question. The Silicone Breastmilk Storage Bags are reusable, lay flat in the freezer, and don't leak when you pour, which sounds like a low bar until you've used ones that do.
Bottles that work alongside breastfeeding
The NaturalWave teat flexes in a way that's closer to how breastfeeding actually works. That matters if you're moving between breast and bottle and finding the switch unsettles your baby. The bottles come in 60ml, 160ml, 240ml and 330ml. There's also a starter set if you'd rather not piece it together yourself.
For engorgement or blocked ducts, the Hot & Cold Breast Therapy Packs are worth keeping in the freezer. Warmth before a feed can help with letdown. Cold after can bring the swelling down. It's a simple thing, but on a hard day it makes a difference.
The postpartum side of the range
This is the part of Lansinoh that doesn't get talked about as much, which is a shame because it's just as good.
The Organic Post-Birth Relief Spray is for perineal recovery after a vaginal birth. Cooling, organic, and something you'll want within reach in the first week rather than having to order after the fact. The Post-Birth Wash Bottle works alongside it, making it more comfortable to use the bathroom in those early days when everything is still tender.
The Postpartum Padsicles are pre-made cooling pads. Put them in the freezer before your due date and they're ready when you need them. The Postpartum Underwear helps keep pads securely in place, with a soft, stretchy fit designed for comfort after birth.
For C-section recovery specifically, the C-Section Hydrogel Pads sit directly on the scar site and provide cooling relief in the first couple of weeks. A really useful addition to a C-section recovery kit.
A few others worth knowing about
The Organic Nipple Balm is lighter than the lanolin cream. Once the soreness has settled, it's a good everyday option. The Lanolin Lip Balm uses the same core ingredient and earns its place in a hospital bag. The Calming Bedtime Butter and Cooling Serum are newer additions to the range, worth a look once you're past the immediate newborn stage.
Why it keeps getting recommended
Lansinoh doesn't have a particularly loud presence. No celebrity partnerships, no viral moments. What it has is forty-odd years of parents telling other parents that the products work.
That's a harder thing to manufacture than good packaging.
