Most toy companies start with a product. Classic World started with a question: what does a child actually need at each stage of growing up? Sofiyia founded the brand in 1998 after years inside the toy industry, convinced that too many toys were being made without enough thought about how children really learn and develop. More than two decades later, the design team still includes teachers and early years specialists alongside engineers, people hired because they understand child development as well as manufacturing.

Spend any time with the range and the philosophy becomes obvious. The wood is sustainably sourced, the construction is solid and all the toys are safety tested in Classic World's own laboratory. These are toys made to be handed down.
