Is TUM TUM right for my child's age?
TUM TUM is designed to grow with your child from early weaning through to the lunchbox years. The suction bowls and Swapsie weaning spoons support first foods from around 6 months. What materials are used and are they safe?
TUM TUM uses food-grade silicone and BPA-free, BPS-free materials throughout. The silicone in cups, bowls and spoons is soft enough for new gums and robust enough for daily dishwasher use. The Thermal Food Flask, which keeps food warm for several hours, is made from high-quality stainless steel, which means no plastic contact with food or drink, and no flavour transfer between uses.
How do I clean TUM TUM products?
Most TUM TUM products are dishwasher-safe on the top rack. Cups with straws should be taken apart before washing, and TUM TUM's own Straws and Brush Sets are designed to clean the inside of their straws properly. The Thermal Food Flask should be hand-washed to maintain its insulation performance. Check the care label on each product, particularly any items with silicone seals or valves where debris can collect.
How long will we get use out of it?
A long time. The Tippy Up Cup is typically introduced from around 6 months and many children use it well into toddlerhood. The cutlery sets are designed to move with your child too: the baby weaning spoons give way to the toddler fork and spoon sets, and the stainless steel cutlery with removable grippy sleeves suits older children who are ready for more independence at the table.
