Collection: Matchstick Monkey

Matchstick Monkey began when founder Katie Windridge was struggling to soothe her daughter Minnie’s teething pain and could not find a teether that actually worked. Inspired by Minnie’s love of monkeys, Katie created the original Matchstick Monkey design: an easy-to-hold teether with soft textured bumps that helped reach sore gums without parents ending up with bitten fingers.

Since launching in 2016, Matchstick Monkey has grown into one of the most recognisable names in teething. The range now includes teethers, cooling teething toys, toothbrushes and oral care products, all designed around the different stages of teething, from the first sore gums through to early brushing routines.

What makes Matchstick Monkey stand out is how practical the designs are. The lightweight shapes are easy for little hands to grip, the textured surfaces help apply teething gel exactly where it is needed, and the playful animal characters make them feel more like a toy than a baby essential.
