Guidelines
The award winning children’s highchair Tripp Trapp® by Stokke, not only provides a host of features, functions, and benefits for you and your child, but also meets and exceeds all international safety standards.
Safety standards
Stokke's determination to attain and surpass all international safety and production quality standards has led to awards, prizes and recognition not only for design, innovation and functionality, but more importantly safety.
Highchairs, as with all children's furniture, must meet safety standard regulations.
International safety standards governing openings, harmful substances, stability, and durability are just a few of the requirements every highchair must meet.
Tripp Trapp complies with and exeeds the following standards:
-
EN 14988:2006 Children's high chairs
-
EU directive 2005/84/EC of 14 December 2005 (requirements on phtalates content)
-
ASTM F 404-07 Standard Consumer Safety Specification for High Chairs
-
Öko-Tex standard 100 for textile raw materials, intermediate and end products at all stages of production.
In addition to these safety standards, the Tripp Trapp by Stokke has been awarded the GS mark and is JPMA certified. These additional certification seals and marks of approval provide further assurance in relation to the safety and quality of our Tripp Trapp highchair.
Cleaning & maintenance
As with any long lasting product, and most specially one which is designed to withstand the rigours of daily use, cleaning and maintaining your Tripp Trapp® is the best way to safeguard your product and ensure its longevity.
Clean your Tripp Trapp highchair by wiping the surface with a clean damp cloth. Whenever excess water is visible and apparent, wipe with a clean dry cloth to avoid slippery surfaces for your child. Do not use a microfiber cloth, as this can damage the surface.
Avoid exposing your chair to direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. Sunlight can often fade colours overtime, aging fabrics and textiles.
All Stokke textiles are machine washable (please check label for precise instructions) and should be washed regularly to ensure that fabrics stay clean, and colours remain vibrant and fresh. Always use a neutral washing detergent or soap on fabrics, following the recommendations provided by the manufacturer.
By following these simple steps to maintaining your Tripp Trapp, both you and your child will get the most out of your chair and preserve it for generations to come.
Features
Children learn and develop from observing and interacting with their parents and surroundings. Sharing, bonding and developing communication skills that helps them to interact not only in childhood, but also in later life.
Interacting with your child creates a sense of belonging and security, as well as a foundation for their happiness, communication and development.
For the modern family, spending time together during the normal working day is often difficult, and one of the few opportunities that we have to do so is at the family meal.
Research tells us that the family dinner table is an ideal place for language development and social skills to evolve (Tarkan 2005).
The Tripp Trapp® children’s chair by Stokke®, designed by Peter Opsvik in 1972, provides the correct ergonomic support for your child whilst seated, and enables your child to sit at the family table, to interact with you and other family members.
Studies show that children fidget less, are able to reach further, and are able to sit more comfortably in a chair with an adjustable seat and footrest, due to their ability to move, reposition, and more freely shift weight (Hedge 2002).
The unique adjustable features of Tripp Trapp® provide optimal support for your child at every stage of their infancy and childhood. Allowing your child to sit safely, securely and comfortably, resting elbows at table height through the fully adjustable seat plate, and feet through the fully adjustable footrest.
Exceeding all international safety standards, the award winning Tripp Trapp® is made from durable environmentally friendly beech wood, and is available in ten different colours with a wide range of accessories.
More than a highchair, Tripp Trapp® is the only chair your child will ever need.
