Stethescope

We are so pleased to have discovered this quirky little stethescope.  Made from replenishable scandinavian beechwood, the stethescope enables you to listen to you baby's heartbeat from 20 weeks. Siblings and dads-to-be can join in too.

The wooden stethescope was invented in France in the last 18th Century and was used for many generations as an essential piece of kit by midwives across Europe to amplify the baby's heartbeat.  Nowadays of course we have electronics to do the job for us but we think this beautifully crafted midwives stethescope is a keepsake that no electronic monitor can take the place of.
