What’s so special about the me-feed-me spoon?
Ordinary children’s spoons hold food in quite a shallow area. Anything placed in the spoon tends to balance right on the top, which makes it easier for food to come out. Unfortunately, food then often leaves the spoon before it reaches your toddler’s mouth.
The spoon is designed with a deep head which holds the food safely until it reaches its destination. We’ve also made the back of the spoon higher than the front. This stops food sliding off the back when your toddler lifts the spoon toward their mouth.
What’s so special about the me-feed-me fork?
If you look at the fork design, you will see that it’s different to any other children's fork. It is designed to be gentle on your toddler’s mouth, but the unique prong design makes very effective at piercing the food, and holding it safely in place until it reaches its target.
About the Bowl
A common problem with traditional bowls is that children often find it to hard to get the food onto the spoon without it flipping over the sides, which makes a mess and wastes food. Children can spend ages chasing food round the bowl, as there are no places for them to trap the food and scoop it up. This can cause frustration for the child and sometimes puts them off self-feeding, prefering mum to do it for them instead.
Patented Corners
A bowl designed with three cutlery shaped corners, which firstly trap the food and stops your toddler having to chase their dinner round in circles. Then the patented profile of the corners helps guide the food onto the spoon. The clever shape then trims the excess food from around the spoon to produce neat portion sized helpings. This helps them become more successful at scooping up food, and prevents them attempting to transfer mounds of food, which has a tendency to fall off, toward their mouth.
Waved shaped sides
In addition, the sides of the bowl are completely unique as they curve inwards, just like the shape of a wave. This does a great job of pushing the food back onto the cutlery and not over the sides. This makes far less mess and gives your child every chance to self-feed successfully.
It stays put
What’s more, it has a chunky stable shape and added a ultra-soft, supper-grippy rubber to the base, which means it's less likely to be tipped over or move around the high chair and end up on the floor.
Self-Sterilising
Finally, Salmon Luke's products are exclusively made from Hygienik™ a material unique to the company, which give the dinnerware self-sterilising properties. Hygienik™ has been independently tested to stop the growth of illness-causing bacteria such as MRSA, E. coli and salmonella.
What's the age range and How does it work?
Children aged from 12 months up to 5 years of age really enjoy using me-feed-me. It’s the only dinnerware to have three patented easy-scoop corners, to guide food onto cutlery, making self-feeding more rewarding and less frustrating for your child. The rim of our bowl curves inwards, which cleverly directs food back onto the cutlery preventing food from spilling over the sides. The bowl’s ultra-grippy base keeps it steady on the table, further helping your child to eat independently and also stops the majority of those messy mealtime accidents.

The short tapered handle combined with the flat underside are specially designed to encourage the correct grip position, something which is really important if your child is to become successful at self-feeding. The head of the spoon and fork are constructed to prevent food falling off on its journey from plate to mouth.

Traditional plastic tableware is easily scratched, resulting in microscopic grooves where bacteria can live and multiply, high levels of bacteria can lead to tummy upsets or sometimes more serious illness.
