Moltex Disposable Nappies

Frequently asked questions about Moltex OKO.

What materials is Moltex OKO nappies made up of?

Unbleached cellulose is used in the manufacturing of Moltex oko. This means no chemical substances are used.  Therefore the cellulose keeps its natural brown colour.

What do the manufacturers mean when they say ' manufactured with renewable resources from controlled cultivation'?

They guarantee that they only use renewable raw materials.  For example a tree will be planted again when one is cut down.

What are the advantages of Moltex OKO over a normal bleached white nappy?

Moltex is manufactured using unbleached cellulose.  This means that natural environmental resources are conserved during the production of the raw materials.

Moltex uses a biodegradable breathable protective film.

The packaging is 100% compostable.

Tell me more about the compostable packaging of the Moltex OKO nappy.

The composatable packaging is manufactured with renewable raw materials (Maize Starch). It can be disposed of through modern rubbish disposal bio waste bins.  The packaging can also be put on the compost heap at home. Prerequisites for smooth degradation for any material to decompose in good compost conditions are: heat, humidity and oxygen.

As a rule degradation should be complete over 6  - 8 weeks. However under less optimum conditions this could take longer, especially during winter.
