Lanowool® breastfeeding pads are designed for mothers with newborn babies. They are a premiere product designed to give greater comfort. Not only are the pads far superior to paper pads, but they are also far more economical than disposable pads. They can be used for the entire breastfeeding period.
The pads are washable, which means they can be used time and time again. Lanowool® Breastfeeding pads are unique being produced from Certified Organic Merino wool* and contains highly purified medical-grade lanolin, creating the optimal environment for breast care prior to birth and during nursing.

Guidelines
Made of 100% New Zealand Merino Wool. You should expect a 5% shrinkage in the first rinse due to the nature of the material.
Care Instructions:
Handwash with mild wool soap. rinsing the pads under the running lukewarm water. Squeeze excess water and air dry in a clean place. Do not soak the pads because this may wash out some of the purified lanolin. Do not use any chemicals, fabric softener or bleach.
Rinse the pads initially every day when you have a lot of milk. After the milk has settled, it is recommended that you rinse the pads at least once a week. Rinse the pads lightly before first use.

How many pairs do I need?
With an average milk flow /let down, you will be fine with one set of Lanowool Breastfeeding pads. If you have a lot of milk and often leak through, you will need two sets of Lanowool breastfeeding pads. It may be a great idea to use two sets at once for extra absorbtion and / or alternatively use two sets for the night.
How often should I rinse / wash Lanowool ® breastfeeding pads?
Can mothers that are wool sensitive use Lanowool® breastfeeding pads? Can the pads become too hot to use?
Lanowool ® breastfeeding pads are produced of a very fine and thin merino wool thread, that should not be itchy. Wool is a natural breathable product, that insulates your body temperature. The pads can therefore be used in warm and cold weather conditions because wool is naturally an “insulator” and not a “heater”.
What does it mean “treated with purified lanolin”?
Lanolin is a lipid, that nature created to protect your natural skin. Lanowool Breastfeeding pads are treated with a pure medical-grade lanolin which is within the European Pharmacopoeia (PH.Eur.)’s standards. Pesticide Residual level for the purified lanolin < 1 ppm (pesticide per million) and a free alcohol limit on 3%, i.e. no risk that mother and/or baby will develop allergy by using Lanowool breastfeeding pads.
How long can I use Lanowool ® breastfeeding pads?
Dependant of your milk supply, you can use Lanowool breastfeeding pads up to 24 hours in the entire breastfeeding period. If you have a medium to large milk flow, it is recommended to have two pairs of Lanowool breastfeeding pads.
