Guidelines
1. Before first use, wash all parts in hot soapy water or dishwasher safe top rack and then sterilize in boiling water for 5 minutes. Alternatively when using a Born Free Sterilizer, place in microwave for up to five minutes, depending on microwave manufacturer’s instructions. When using other sterilizers, please follow manufacturer's instructions.
2. Please make sure hands are clean prior to assembly of any bottle parts.
3. Put the breast milk or formula into the bottle and heat to body temperature, 36-38C-96-99°F, making sure the formula is mixed according to the manufacturer's instructions. [NOTE: These should be general recommendations with respect to temperature. Consumers should check the exact temperature recommendation in the local country. Each country has their own specific regulations with respect to the right temperature for feeding.]
4. Push the white vent cover onto the silicone vent as shown, then push the vent firmly into the top of the bottle.
5. Pull the teat through the collar and screw the collar firmly onto the bottle.
6. As an extra precaution, check the liquid temperature. We recommend that you always shake a few drops onto your hand before feeding.
7. Feed your baby by holding him/her in the correct position.
Features
Soft Teat that does not collapse
The Born Free teats are extremely soft and gentle for your baby to suckle and are available in 5 flow rates to suit babies from 0 -18 months. Due to the unique bornfree valve, the teats prevent the hard suckling need with conventional bottles.
Revolutionary Inner Vale and Air Vent
The new innovative air vent helps eliminate colic symptoms such as gas and spit up by reducing the build up of vacuum and is also medically acknowledged to reduce the risk of middle ear infection. The unique inner valve prevents side-leaks and unlike other vented bottles, allow you to shake freely when mixing.
Tested And Proven
In a recent independent test, various leading brands of bottles were tested for the level of vacuum (negative pressure). The more negative pressure, the harder it is for your baby to feed. The BornFree bottle was proven to have the lowest vacuum level making it the easiest way for your baby to bottle feed in combination with it's soft range of teats.
