A sleeping bag is pretty much an essential part of your nursery. If you think about it, we all sleep better when our sleeping environment is natural. Who can remember sleeping in linen or clothing made from man made material and waking up hot and uncomfortable. Your baby is no different, to ensure a good sleep choose something that is breathable, soft and gentle. Merino wool is unbeatable for it's properties to keep baby warm in winter and cool in summer.

Most Merino wool bags are sized to fit over a longer period then your normal sleeping bags (usually these need to be changed every 6 months). So whilst the up front cost is higher for Merino wool in the long run it should work out more cost effective. You also need only one to use over winter or summer rather than having to think about different TOG ratings.

The only thing with sleeping bags is that you child has had to have reached a certain weight/age/size before he or she can use it. The Baby Pouch is designed for use in that short period after birth when a sleeping bag is not suitable.
