Very fine merino wool feels like silk against baby’s delicate skin and won’t itch or scratch like traditional wool can. It has amazing natural thermal properties which help babies to regulate their body temperature, keeping them cool in summer and warm in winter.
They have been carefully designed so that one size fits babies from 3-24 months of age. Due to the temperature-regulating properties of merino wool, they are suitable for year-round wear, combining quality, performance and value for money.
So what is merino wool and how does it work?
Fine merino wool is a natural, breathable fibre that creates a microclimate around baby’s body – circulating or trapping air as required to regulate body temperature throughout the night. No more waking up cold when the temperature drops in the early hours! It is lightweight, warm and capable of holding three times its weight in moisture without feeling wet to the touch. If baby gets too warm, it draws excess moisture away from their skin and releases it in to the atmosphere. Conversely if baby gets cold, it holds a layer of warm air around the body, preventing heat from being lost.
